Panespol at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games: Innovation and Design in the EDF Pavilion
In the world of design and architecture, some projects mark a before and after. This summer, Panespol Systems was honoured to be involved in one such landmark project during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The installation of our customised decorative panels in the EDF Pavilion was not only a creative challenge, but also an opportunity to demonstrate our ability to innovate and adapt at a world-class event.
A Stage for Innovation and Sport
The EDF Pavilion, known as a showcase for innovation and sport, was designed to capture the essence of the Olympic spirit. This space not only served as a meeting point for sports enthusiasts, but also as an example of how technology and design can merge to create unique and memorable environments.
Our decorative panels played a crucial role in this project. They were installed on all the tiles present on the ceilings, walls and floors of the pavilion, creating a visual effect that simulated the main hallway and swimming pool. This intervention not only provided an aesthetic touch, but also transformed the space into an immersive experience for visitors.
Innovation at the Service of Design
The main challenge of this project was to maintain visual coherence in a space as large and multifaceted as the EDF Pavilion. Panespol panels were selected for their ability to emulate the texture and finish of traditional materials, but with the flexibility and strength offered by our innovative products.
The choice of colours, textures and finishes was not accidental. Every detail was carefully planned to ensure that the panels not only met aesthetic standards, but also offered the durability and functionality required for an event of such magnitude.
